Here is some logic for you. Try to follow.

My God doesn't punish. If your God punishes, then your God is not my God. Does your God punish?

The Constitution is my God given rights that cannot be taken away by government. Now, where does your punishing God’s thought stop and mine begin, I will tell you were, oppression stops with the Constitution. It is freedom from religion.

Let's just break this down, shall we?

A god that does not punish is a god with no standards. If my god punishes, and He does, he has standards he expects me to uphold. If your god does not punish, and you say he does not, he has no standards and why even claim a god if there is nothing to strive to, other than conformity with a civilization that believes in god, in which case you are a follower, not a leader.

Actually, read the preamble. It says "We the People," not "We the gods."

Oh, so I take then that what you mean is that your god is "the people." Yes, yes, the people really do have no standards because they are fickle. Some people have standards. A majority of people may even have standards, but "the people" have no standards.

But, if your god is "the people" who brought you the constitution, than you certainly must respect the majority, because "the people" predicated the constitution on the majority, with some limiting of interests through separation of powers, checks, balances, and whatnot.

Somehow, though, I suspect you don't really respect the majority unless you are in it.

It is freedom from religion.

So does this mean you are an atheist? What then was all that god talk?

Oh, conformity you say? Again: follower.

I always preferred to lay low by jonlester

and not to make it everybody's issue. They'd have you think every disbeliever's personality is that of a complete tool.

I've noticed they only make their noise here and against Christians. I don't know how many of that kind would have the courage to take on Muslims.

Look at the atheist's comment "There needs to be a separation between Religion and government. Those forefathers were pretty smart." I love how people assume Jefferson's Danbury Letter, where the separation idea is mentioned, as being apart of the Constitution, which doesn't mention it. As Jaded's signature line states "freedom of religion not freedom from religion". Some people should take a look at that line and really appreciate it.

Accually My God by Xraxnd Caracarn

Punishes much more than most folks who belive in a God that really wont hold them to any standards because he is such a nice guy. Well punish is probally the wrong word He just gives people what they have earned. Kinda like I have fired very few people, for the most part they fire themselves.
