DeVine Gamecock Law on Citizen Journalism

Friends, American patriots and fellow potential Citizen journalists, lend me your ears, eyes, nose, tongue and blog, as you are desperately needed to combat the MSM’s daily Big Lies, on the war and everything else under the Sun, including their big lie that man, not The Sun, warms the earth.
Our very survival as a nation depends, as Thomas Jefferson said, on an educated and informed electorate.
The MSM ain't cutting it on the education front, unless one considered The Manchurian Candidate a study in education.
Citizen journalism is desperately needed by a public deluged with leftist propaganda passing as news coupled with the decline of the practice of the craft by most of the so-called “mainstream media” (MSM). Journalism is the recording of the details of events occurring in the world. It is a reporter accurately reporting the who, what, when, where, and sometimes why, of the significant events occurring in his presence.
Many dutiful reporters are still on the job today, producing professional work. However, the producers and editors of most MSM outlets choose not to report significant facts that do not support their liberal world view. Moreover, too high a percentage of reporters see the world thru a liberal lens or choose to do so to please their liberal editors. As a consequence, Americans, the West, Muslims in the Middle East, and, heck, the whole world is woefully uninformed about the happenings in the world that do not occur within their own presence.
Hence, the need for citizens to report the facts they see, and the facts they know are true, but which are being withheld or distorted by the MSM. Unlike the poor reporters employed by the AP or other MSM outlets, whose work is owned by the particular MSM company, citizens can get their reports into the arena of ideas via blogs. Were it not for milblogs, we would not know half of the great work being done in Iraq by the American troops and the Iraqis. We would not have known that Dan Rather reported a forged document as fact. The list is endless.
The MSM cannot be trusted and never should have been since the 1960’s. The only reason they were trusted was due to a quirk of history monopoly born of the three TV networks. Prior to WWII and from before the founding, most U.S. cities had two newspapers, one conservative, and one liberal.
There is no such thing as “objective” reporting, ultimately, beacuse, what one chooses to report on is driven by what one deems significant. What one deems significant is driven my one’s world view.
The best results in public policy occur when the public hears all views and chooses the best. Reagan himself said the American people never go wrong when they have all the facts. Conservatives, unlike liberals are not afraid of the facts, because our world view is a non-Utopian view. We welcome the facts.
But the American people aren't hearing all voices, despite the rise of the alternative media.
C-Span and Rush Limbaugh blew the lid off the myth of the objectivity of the MSM for me in the 1990’s as I would watch live events and then compare MSM outlet reports and Rush’s show. Rush hid nothing, and even reveled in reporting the left’s supposed strong points and logically tearing them down. The MSM, on the other hand, left out significant facts and produced nearly identical coverage as sister MSM outlets.
Rush was not and is not, a journalist. He was and is a citizen with a bigger blog!
So get out there and Stop, look and listen, as Elvis sang, and report! And in the meantime and afterward, get it at DeVine Law on

that just in time, their party has taken abck the House and Senate and may be able to log roll enough Republicans to showve through a censorship - er, 'fairness doctrine and campaign finance reform'- to shut down all that free speechyification they don't like.
Enjoy this brief golden age of easy broadcast free speech. It is under heavy assault right now by the lefties. And they are just now feeling their oats.
Even if the left is able to shut down talk radio with the so-called "fairness doctrine" it is entirely too late for the left to reacquire the power over dissemination of the news they once had.
Cable and satellite tv channels, satellite radio, and most importantly THE INTERNET make it impossible for them to get back their Monopoly.
If they are successful in squelching free speech over the "airwaves" the Information Superhighway" will become even more powerful in spreading the word of liberty.
times, they are a changin' and the left can't turn back the tide. They can send out their seminar callers on the radio, ,and their mobies and trolls on internet sites, but they cannot stop the free-flow of news.
the left has already tried with the effort to get those who receive a certain income from publishing infor concerning contacting your congressperson, to register. The fact that some bloggers said don't worry about it, is what really worries me. The left will try again and again until they succeed. I will be real surprised if any right wing blog is still publishing when the next election rolls around.
...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..." our lawmakers seem bent upon doing just that! If there is to be ANY free flow of information and ideas, the internet is the last great hope.
