Hurricane Sheila Strikes Again

Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee, who represents Texas's 18th District, has decided that in addition to securing more “black” names for hurricanes, she would be a great one-woman State Department.
“...according to Pakistani news reports, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee told the Foreign Affairs Committee of Congress that while the late Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan People Party was doing a good job, coalition partner Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), led by Nawaz Sharif, "needed to be watched."

This is not helpful. Pakistan already has huge problems with anti-American sentiment, partly due to the impression that we are meddling in its democracy. Imagine a member of the British parliament saying, “The Democrats in the United States are doing a good job, but we need to watch those Republicans so they don't get out of hand.” Expect the Pakistani news media to pounce on this as evidence of American “imperialism.” Let the CIA and the State Department do the watching, Sheila.
Of course, this isn't the first time she's tried to be a diplomat. In 2003, she invited the president of Syria, a country the United States lists as a sponsor of terrorism, to come speak in Texas. Apparently she was taken by a picture the dictator gave her of him with his children. Reminds me of a quote from Machiavelli: “There is always someone willing to be deceived.”
Lee could do something befitting of a congresswoman, like represent the interests of her district, but that would probably be asking a bit much from someone who spends her time looking for TV cameras, asking about the American flag Neil Armstrong planted on Mars, and complaining that there isn't a Hurricane Shaniqua.
This clown has represented District 18 for 13 years, compiling a radical left-wing record that makes Hillary Clinton look like Ronald Reagan. It's time for change. Republican John Faulk is running against Lee this year, and he is perhaps her first viable challenger since she won the seat. Faulk advocates a strong conservative platform of lower taxes, smaller government, strong defense, secure borders, and solid values. He will go to Washington to represent District 18, not indulge a love for limelight or engage in speculative foreign policy.
Republicans have always assumed Lee could not be beaten, and never put any effort into winning the district. Even now, Faulk has no support from the Party. The surest way to lose is not to fight at all, and if the least we accomplish is making Lee spend her money on a real campaign instead of donating it to her liberal friends in other districts, it will be time well spent.
A wise man once told me that leadership is the ability to rise above conventional wisdom. If that is true, John Faulk is a leader in the fight against radical liberalism. Let's support him. Enough of Hurricane Sheila.
P.S. I'm not being paid by Faulk. I'm just sick of Hurricane Sheila and the fact that no one has really tried to do anything about her.
