Wright on BoT at Virginia Union University

Jeremiah Wright is a member of the Board of Trustees at Richmond's Virginia Union University. Mr. Wright attended VUU for three and one-half years before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, according to the Trinity United Church of Christ Web site, which still names him as Pastor.
Founded in 1865, VUU describes itself as "a premier historically black institution of higher education, transforming the world one student at a time".
In view of Mr. Wright's hate-filled hogwash, it's deeply concerning that this world-transforming institution finds him fit for a position of honor.
Barack Obama has finally distanced himself from Mr. Wright. Will VUU do the same?
for anything to do with enhancing the public square.

And given the constituency of the university, Rev. Wright has probably been a star in the fund-raising department. So long as he can help make sure the money rolls in, he'll keep his position. If the donors complain enough, Rev. Wright will end up stepping down, but I don't see that likely to happen.
And Rightly So!
