OPEC to World; Up Yours - Again

As if OPEC needed any more image challenges in the current energy environment we now had this. Here’s the salient quote;
This year, the U.S. had contributed $362.7 million to WFP just through May 4, according to the website. That figure does not include another $250 million above the planned yearly contribution that was promised by President George W. Bush in the wake of WFP’s April warning that a “silent tsunami” of rising food costs would add dramatically to the world population living in hunger. Nor does it include another $770 million in food aid that President Bush has asked Congress to provide as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia, with oil revenues last year of $164 billion, does not even appear on the website donor list for 2008.
Yes, but they all really like us; well at least the one's Obama wants us to talk to anyway.
Please do read on
So OPEC is currently making record profits on a barrel of oil and they watch the world starve. Great; it makes one pine for a day when the petroleum based economy crashes.
What is stunning overall is the list of donor nations, which is topped of course by the United States. You know that stingy, evil country that is always up to international mischief and driven by a bunch of rich hedge fund guys who don’t pay enough in taxes.

to send a signal that we will supply our own oil?
You know like Norway, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, New Zealand, & Nigeria. You know those are some third world countries that are better at producing oil than this Congress is at helping out our own situation. So this congress has the greenies on their side, and those tin horns have oil, while Cuba and China drill within site of Florida.
What would you do if you were in charge of the Arabian oil reserves. ++++ skippy, I'd say the USA must be happy with its 125$/ barrel cause they don't want anything to do with providing their own supply and we do have a jihad to carry on. So of course you Americans can stay green we will keep your greenbacks, while the Euro holders buy futures oil contracts for their hedge funds to hedge against inflation.
