Analyzing Claire Mc Caskill and Democrat's position on terrorist surveillance program.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a duck, right? Not necessarily with Democrats concerning their position with the terrorist surveillance program.
This program which targets calls from known Al Qeada operatives to persons here in the United States was first revealed by the New York Times late last year in an effort to continue to undermine and sink the Bush presidency. The ususpecting results, though, was a miniback lash against politicians for trying to undermine a program most Americans understand. Fast forward to election season 2006.
Here in Missouri Claire McCaskill, in addition to many other Democrats claim that they "support a legal version" of the program as a way to side step the reality that they are in fact, opposed to the program. To make matters worse, I have yet to hear a single reporter or media outlet ask what the candidate means by "support a legal version."
Does that mean that we have to go back to FISA court and proceed through that beaucratic mess every time a terrorist changes their phone number or alias? What if the person the who is inside the United States is Al Qeada and decides to make a call to another Al Qeada agent within the United States after hanging up with an agent from outside our borders? Do we then have to run to FISA court and get an order before even listening?
In all sense of reality it is their way of splitting frog hairs to keep from suffering the wrath of the general public and their base. This is one of the lessons of 9/11 which we must learn.
If we read Claire's response properly, what she and other Democrats might want is nothing more than a license for Al Qeada to turn our own laws against us.
Yes, it is important to safegaurd liberties. However, we should not allow terrorist to use those same liberties as a way to do harm to our nation.
I doubt we will ever see a media person question Claire or Democrats on any of these points because it would cause them to wobble and undermine their chances of "retaking power" in November. Never mind the safety of our nation.

Very good stuff. I will be posting on my blog later.
doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hades of beating Talent. She will get a slight majority around MO's urban centers, but out here in the country she will be crushed. I think even the DNC has realized this. I'm not a big TV watcher, but I haven't seen or heard a single McCaskill ad or billboard or yardsign as of yet. Meanwhile, I see Talent signs everywhere across the state, even around St. Louis and Jackson counties. Claire McCaskill is toast in my opinion.
I dont mind telling you that down here in the 7th congressional district we are seeing plenty of ads and yard signs.
The dems are supposedly keeping their powder dry until the the end.
Also, the DSCC is supposedly going to dump 6 million into the fight. I hope the NRSC is ready to dump some money into it.
I hope you are correct.
If McCaskill is toast, then why is she up 3 in the latest poll?
And if Talent has been up on the air and she's been silent, then this is even more discouraging.
This may end up being a race we have to pretty much concede and put the money into a state like NJ, where a pick-up seems very possible.

If you're seeing shades of gray, it's because you're not looking close enough to see the black and white dots.
You know that what you just posted is not true and that Talent is up in every poll except for the highly biased SPD one.
Go away, troll.

Don't bother the St. Louis Media doing it either. Friday, Claire gave a softball interview on KMOX 1120 AM Radio with the condition she take no calls. The "Katrina comments" were brought up, but no attempt was made by the hosts of Total Information AM to follow up. Also, KMOV Channel 4 TV (the CBS station in STL) broadcast footage of her handing out Rams tickets to help keep the Rams-Broncos game from being blacked out (and thus helping KMOV). But, according to http://www.gatewaypundit.blogspot.com, Claire would only buy the tickets if the KMOV cameras were rolling to show her doing it. Guess what little tidbit the STL MSM forgot?
Still, she's trailing Talent, and the gap may be growing according to Gallup. Remember, sitting out is a vote for KOS.
