In honor of Senator Hillary Clinton's ground breaking decision to step foot inside the State of Michigan this morning I thought this would be a good time to take a look at all of the amazing visits she and Barack Obama have made to the Great Lakes State in the last year.

Remember that one time in Detroit... no...

There was that town hall downriverrrrrrrrrrr... no, that's not right.

Oh, I loved it when they came to Graaaaa... yeah, nope.

Well, I swear they've been here at some point in the last year.  It's not like they'd just ignore us is it?  Actually, yes, they would, and have.

Clinton's visit this morning marks the first time she's treaded Michigan soil since she held a townhall meeting in Detroit back on June 9th, 2007.  That's 284 days between visits.

Senator Obama?  He's not doing much better.  He did manage to find the time to pick up a few checks in Grand Rapids last July 12th but it's been zilch since then.  And even though he's leading Clinton in every single poll and delegate count he isn't stopping by today.  Instead he's disenfranchising Michigan voters (Democrats' words, not mine) and working on keeping his string of consecutive days ignoring the Wolverine State going strong.  As of this morning it's been 251 days since Obama last deemed us worthy of his precious time.

Oh, and while Clinton flip-flops on our importance now that she needs us--remember, she claimed a few months back that Michigan "is not going to count for anything"-- it might be worth drawing a quick comparison with another comparably sized state to see exactly where we stand.

For instance, Clinton made more stops in Pennsylvania on March 11th than she and Barack Obama have made in Michigan, combined, in the last year.  

284 Days and she's still behind one day's effort in a neighboring state.  251 Days for Obama and he isn't even trying.

Well, Michigan?  Can you feel the love?  Me either.
