Obama's brother is a militant muslim, that's fresh.

I caught on Micheal Reagan's show that Obama's brother is a Muslim extremist, so I thought I would check it out.
Now, I am not naive enough to think 1 thing that his brother does thousands of miles away in Africa has any affect on Obama who may talk to him 5 times a year and see him once every 10 years; but with little digging I found this:
"Obama has close family ties to Kenya, and even founded a school in his ancestral village — the Senator Obama School."
So, it seems Obama knows more about what's going on thousands of miles away in Kenya than in his church of 20 years. That's either pathetic or a lie; but i'll let you be the judge.
And this:
"In the bloody conflict there, which already has claimed some 700 lives, Obama appears to have sided with opposition leader Raila Odinga, head of the same Luo tribe to which Obama's late Muslim father belonged."
"Obama's older brother still lives there. Abongo "Roy" Obama is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." He urges his younger brother to embrace his African heritage.
Beyond family politics, these ties have potential foreign policy, even national security, implications.
Odinga is a Marxist who reportedly has made a pact with a hard-line Islamic group in Kenya to establish Shariah courts throughout the country. He has also vowed to ban booze and pork and impose Muslim dress codes on women — moves favored by Obama's brother."
And a dis-comforting conclusion:
"With al-Qaida strengthening its beachheads in Africa — from Algeria to Sudan to Somalia — the last thing the West needs is for pro-Western Kenya to fall into the hands of Islamic extremists."
I'm not saying Obama has anything to do, any influence, nor is influenced by any family in Africa, but two things show a repeatable pattern by Obama.
One, that he/or others continue to sweep his associations under the rug that the people deserve to know his thoughts on before they elect him.
Two, that Obama himself has chosen not to take on any leadership in a country in which his own family are affected by it's politics of extremist organizations. What can Iraqis and Isrealis expect if he won't use the power that a US senator has to make his own relatives more safe ?

and hasn't heard about the Libyan dictator's surrender of all of his revolutionary efforts beyond keeping himself free and in power.

It's interesting how much political variety there is in the Muslim world. Communism and its inherent atheism was a big motivator for the foreign fighters who joined the Mujahedin in the 1980's Afghanistan war. At the same time, the Syrian constitution says the Ba'ath party will always have a majority in the Majlis but the other allowed political parties are various me-too Arab socialist and communist parties.

a First Brother on a no-fly list...welcome to the White House if he can get there!
The ideology of "the black man must 'liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture.' He urges his younger brother to embrace his African heritage." meshes completely with the "Black Liberation Theology" of TUCC. IMHO, that is a reasonable statement of the philosophical underpinnings of both Barak and Michelle, based on their writings and statements before they turned themselves over to the spin doctors and wordsmiths of the campaign.
What strikes me is that the movement seeks to remove the influence of the europeans, and hedges itself within the confines of marxist, named for a white guy, wanting to distance itself from Europe.
Yet, Europe is moving closer to the same marxism in some areas, and Obama's form of Liberalism also moves us into marxism.
So, in fact, this Roy fellow wants us all to be like Europe.
...
heh.

I don't know that I worry too much about the affects of his brother, though it is interesting to note.
I have to say though, I am not suprised by the radical muslim streak in the family NEARLY as much as I am suprised to see a radical muslim extremist marxist African fellow go by the name "Roy"
Roy?
