An object lesson in the dangers posed to our country by the recent Supreme Court cases Boumediene v. Bush and Dada v. Mukasey is playing itself out in the U.K. The legal entanglements that have hamstrung the British government’s case to deport radical Islamic cleric, Abu Qatada are a preview of what we can now expect to see in the U.S. court system thanks to Emperor Kennedy and his fellow leftist justices. Qatada, wanted in his native Jordan for allegedly plotting a series of bomb attacks in Amman in 1998 and for providing finance and advice to terrorists planning a series of explosions there, and his lawyers have made a mockery of the courts.

“Qatada came to Britain in 1993 using a fake passport and was granted refugee status after claiming asylum for his wife and three children. He has since had two more children, who have British citizenship because they were born here.” snip
“The taxpayer will also fund at least £12,000 per year in benefits for Qatada, his wife and five children, even though Qatada was once found to have £170,000 in cash in his possession when he was stopped by police.”
This is the lunacy we will have if Boumediene and Dada aren't challenged and resisted by the President and the House.
Isn’t there anyone in Congress that has the sand to bring up impeachment? Yeah I know it is unlikely to succeed in the legal sense but it sends a much needed message to the Supremes that they may not proceed, emboldened by the seeming acquiescence of our representatives, to further trample the Constitution to suit their political preferences. I’ve already given up on GW. He’s too busy burnishing his legacy.
Seriously…there’s not one single representative that’s willing to challenge this affront to their constitutional authority to conduct the people’s business?
