'Roe' Joins Anti-Tiller Abortion Crusade

For most Americans, Roe vs. Wade is as synonymous with abortion as any other single phrase in the English language. The female behind ‘Roe’ is easily recognizable as the driving force behind abortion’s legalization decades ago.
Because of that, it may come as a surprise to many Kansans where ‘Roe,’ long considered the ultimate abortion supporter, falls in the never-ending Kansas vs. Tiller melodrama.
Norma McCorvey, the previously anonymous ‘Roe,’ has cast her lot with Kansas’ abortion opponents. Last month, McCorvey personally drafted letters to leading Topeka Republicans, encouraging them to continue the ever important struggle against Attorney General Paul Morrison and abortion-on-demand provider George Tiller, his number one supporter.
Read on . . .
In the letter, McCorvey stated, "As the woman who helped make abortion 'legal' in America, I urge you to do everything in your power to stop one of the worst abortionists in America. George Tiller MUST be punished for the crimes he has committed-and you can help make that happen."
Toward the end of the letter, Operation Rescue President Troy Newman mentioned Turncoat Paul more directly, claiming that Tillergate in Kansas is really nothing more than underhanded dealings between ‘dishonorable politicians and Tiller’s pocketbook.’
Fortunately, Stay Red isn’t the only group ashamed of Wichita abortionist George Tiller and his elected puppet, Paul Morrison. The very reason for abortion’s legality in America – Norma McCorvey – has joined the fight to hold Tiller accountable for his criminal behavior. It’s about time that our State’s top legal official, Paul Morrison, becomes an advocate for his constituency – not just his political fundraising.

and is accused of performing abortions on a number of minors, I believe without parental consent or court order. The girls in question were minors, under the age of consent, which makes their pregnancy the result of "rape" by definition. Tiller didn't report as required by Kansas law.
I don't believe he was required to get "names", just to report that a minor under the age of consent was at his clinic. This is no different than had the girls carried their babies to term but had complications and had to go to a hospital. I'm pretty sure the medical personnel would be required to report as well.

Stuff like this adds nothing and you will pick up no traffic, just irritated RS'ers like I'm becoming.
Thanks.

McCorvey has essentially disowned the Roe decision for more than a decade, and has been am Operation Rescue supporter for just about that long. It's not like this is a situation where you have someone who otherwise supports the pro-choice position but is making an exception here because this case is special or something. Operation Rescue trots her out whenever they need a bump in their visibility.
Who weren't previously aware of who McCorvey is. Like myself. And I consider myself pretty aware of what's going on in the world. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people in the USA who have no idea...
There are those who look on Dresden and Tokyo and Hiroshima as some of the greatest evils ever perpetrated by man. I look on them and thank the perpetrators for saving millions.
I should, more accurately, have said that it is no longer "news" that Ms. McCorvey has stepped into the pro-life camp.
She hasn't been shy about letting people know her opinion of abortion has changed, and that she wishes the ruling could be undone. And she's being doing that for a number of years now, though not as stridently as the folks the MSM likes to concetrate on. Unfortunately, I think she's already moved as many people as were going to be moved and is now regarded as a "regular" on her position.
...that Tiller was shot through the arms by a cowardly assassin in 1993.
As much as I respect the right of folks to protest abortion through legal means, this man has been the target of terrorist attacks before, and I am very wary of anything that might seem to be an incentive to attack him again.

But set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
In fact, they enable us to recall the OP with near exactitude, and recall that nobody, here or elsewhere, has suggested an assault on Tiller's person or an attempt on his life.
This is gonna be the rare instance where Moe is actually the *soft* option, because the two comments I've read of yours have convinced me with 100% certitude that you are not here as a good faith poster.
Blam.

that didn't ask the girls for the names of the men that raped them before he provided abortions?
I forget. I'm being serious here. Not sarcastic.
