Jihadists Admit Defeat in Iraq

So everyone on the left says we are losing in Iraq... Not according to the enemy, reports Nibras Kazimi at Talisman Gate:

A prolific jihadist sympathizer has posted an ‘explosive’ study on one of the main jihadist websites in which he laments the dire situation that the mujaheddin find themselves in Iraq by citing the steep drop in the number of insurgent operations conducted by the various jihadist groups, most notably Al-Qaeda’s 94 percent decline in operational ability over the last 12 months when only a year and half ago Al-Qaeda accounted for 60 percent of all jihadist activity!

Kazimi then details the plans that Al-Qaeda had to create a "caliphate" in Baghdad as the center, and sums up their situation now:

Thus, not only is America defeating Al-Qaeda militarily in Iraq but it is also squashing the grand jihadist vision for a caliphate that the Islamic State of Iraq stood for. This point is critical: in this ideological war, victory can only come about when the ideology of the opponent is negated and proven unworkable. The fight in Iraq is doing just that.

I’m not saying that the jihadists won’t keep trying to find a workable formula for the caliphate elsewhere, but for now they have been dealt a severe demoralizing blow.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it all ye calling for a hasty withdrawal.

Now far be it from me to place intent on Kazimi's words, but I think Kazimi was talking to YOU, Senator Obama! The item deserves a complete read by anyone who thinks were are losing in Iraq or needs facts to dispel the myth of us losing.

shouldn't Obama listen to what they're saying before making an appointment?

In Obama's case first he would have to know who the enemy is.

Many of us are disgusted that he thinks so poorly of America.

Victory. by Socrates

I have said it before: victory today is no longer achieved when the enemy is unable to enforce his will militarily. Every time we do merely that, another resurfaces. Victory today means discrediting his ideology by utterly defeating him militarily, economically, and spiritually. It means convincing your enemy to apologize for being wrong.

That's the Long War.

And of course, I cant stand the word "Jihadist.":) Let's just call them guerrillas, terrorists, insurgents, or rat bastards. Please. I'll shut up about this now...

Iraq Conflict notes by Volunteer

This post deserves a broader publication. Intend to review the basic source.
The Media, of course, will be and has been silent about the Iraqi situation for weeks. Success there is not in their template, so no news.
Mr. O avoids the issue like the plauge (sic). He know this is a weak spot in the Leftist play book he is operating from and will not acknowledge any kind of success there.
If, and it looks more and more like a sure thing, Mr. O does get the Nomination, we should beat him head and shoulders with the stats, the details and the videos of the active markets in Bahgdad. He has no answer for this and it is a positive note for McCain.

Hopefully we're starting to learn more and more about the enemy and their cultural behavior.

Some horn-tooting on this point - not for self-glorification, but to note that the pieces of information we get will come from different sources....

Back in January 2007 - at the nadir of pessimism about all this - somebody wrote the following:

Keep in mind this it is not enough to defeat this enemy. It’s not even enough that it be obvious to everyone that they have been beaten. It is critical that they know that they have been beaten.

So how will we define victory? That’s simple.

Victory will be when the enemy is beaten.

When they know it.

And – because they are loquacious and florid, and will be writing letters similar to what Saburo Sakai wrote in his memoirs – when they say so.

May they keep on writing....
