We Need To Develop Some Better Strategies For Congressional Races

It's roll up our sleeves time boys and girls. We need to start developing some proactive poking and prodding strategies to get our R congressional candidates on the right track towards victory. We, definitely including me, often speak in hopeless lamentation of the present state of things here.

This Debbie Downer-ing accomplishes absolutely nothing. The diverse backgrounds of the folks here could be put to a lot better use with a lot more strategy discussion and less licking of wounds. While we may or may not be able to win back either house this time, we can diminish the damage with creative, problem solving discourse.

As an example, here in District 2 of Kansas, I'm employing a strategy against D-Rep. Nancy Boyda using hot button issues. I recently sent an article in about her support of The CLEAN ACT, a bill that stifles domestic drilling by punishing our great oil companies for drilling here with higher taxes. Look up your local Dem on the awesome On The Issues website to see how they voted and write one up too. With gas prices where they currently are, it's a scarlet letter to be on record as supporting CLEAN. Do it! Do it now. WE can hurt them plenty on this.

As another example, if and when your Rep or Senator comes out in support of Obama, you can letter to the editor them on this too. Question their judgement by specifically bringing up "Rev." Wright, Obama's associations with domestic terrorists, Rezko etc., and why they would so willingly throw care to the wind. We have to be on offense. Don't hyperfocus on the presidential race only. I'm voting for McCain in November, but my main focus now is on the congressional races. They are where we can have the most direct effect. Fight the good fight!
