Particularly appropriate for a Sunday, I think:
You already know the quote that inspired this one:
"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
in other places, who have neither a moral core inspired by faith (or at least a loving family) nor an appreciation for the consequences of irresponsible gun handling, particularly the idea that aggressors are much more likely to invite harm to themselves than upright people, and that's why good people need them. Your average violent criminal has these things missing from his upbringing, I would guess. Not as many singing "Mama Tried" these days, anyway.
