Let the Protests Begin

With this being an election year, I would expect a lot of protests. The DNC has already been promised protests at their own convention.

A group sponsored by the Salt Lake City attorney Bob Breeze is protesting the SLC Jazz and Houston Rockets. He wants them to cancel the playoff center until the State of Texas releases all the FLDS children that it removed from the compound in El Dorado.

I am not sure what this grass roots campaign is supposed to prove. I wasn't aware that the NBA now ran Texas. To be honest I wasn't aware that basketball playoffs were taking place.

The demented protestors seemed more interested in denigrating the great state of Texas than anything else. Their signs and comments, were they to be made in Texas would get them tarred and feathered.

Has society lost its moral compass? Has the ACLU [American Communist Lawyer's Union] finally destroyed common sense? Has our education system finally turned out an entire generation of indoctrinated stooges?

On the off chance that someone is not aware of the situation I offer the following links:

The close we examine by E Pluribus Unum

The weirder (and more dangerously whacked) this bunch is. There may be fair and legitimate questions about the grounds upon which the state jumped in there.

But for now, given what it seems we're finding, I'm glad they did.

Has society lost its moral compass?

That got lost several decades ago for most Americans.

Has the ACLU [American Communist Lawyer's Union] finally destroyed common sense?

With a little help from the overwhelming majority of judges in this country who never had any, yes they have.

Has our education system finally turned out an entire generation of indoctrinated stooges?

Well, the colleges certainly have without question. Some of the public schools are trying to, but they get mixed results.

I don't know what to say about the situation in Texas. It's just too tragic to read about, much less take sides. I can say that this illogical protest won't change a thing.
