Why America Is Doomed! (Unless We Change) [Part 1]

Try this simple experiment at home and follow along. Take a mirror and place the reflective side facing you. What do you see?

Hopefully you see your reflection and what is behind you.

Now step to a window and look out. What do you see?

You see the world outside. If you stand just right you can see a faint reflection behind you but mostly you see outward. You see other people. They are looking in and on a cold blistery day they wish they were where you are.

In both cases you are merely looking through a piece of glass. The only difference is one is lined with silver and doesn't allow you to see past it.

When you are facing the mirror and reflecting on who you are, what you have and where you are, the only people that can see this image are those standing with you on the reflecting side. To take this analogy a bit further, imagine trying to drive and navigate a roadway facing a mirror. You would have to peek past the side of the mirror to safely traverse the roadway. The more you watch behind you and admire your own image the more dangerous this exercise becomes. It is hard to move forward if you can’t see where you are going

Now step back to the window. If it opens please open it. Without the glass you can see out, you can see forward, but the outside pests enter the house to bother you, some are benign, some are disease carriers and they all multiply at a faster rate than you do. So you put up a screen. It is porous and keeps pests out unless there is a hole in that screen and they will find the slightest hole, but the cold winds and inclement weather is still let in causing your energy usage to increase.

Now think about what would happen if you opened all your doors and windows and let everyone in. The nicer the place you live in, the more people would want to live there, but at certain point the condition of the residence starts to deteriorate and living conditions become intolerable, but you can't evict because someone said it wrong to deny those less fortunate a place to reside.

China has a 50-year plan. America gets a 100-day plan (that flops). America's plans are based on what's good for the political parties not the Country as a whole. Our plans are formulated on ever changing polls instead of long-range plans. The tenets of our Republic have taken a back seat to money grubbing for control. It isn't what the people need or what the country needs but what the lobbyists and the mainstream media says they need.

Americans are looking in that mirror instead of installing windows and doors. Greed, be it corporate or individual will be the ruination of America. Liberal education and media have skewed our value system. Where subversives have learned to use our system of freedoms against us and now use our tax dollars to teach their fanaticism in charter schools, we sit idly by reflecting on how good we look and what we have accomplished in the past. We have invited the seditionists inside our walls like the City of Troy invited that infamous horse and we will suffer the same fate.

Based on his past diaries that were all about immigration by Adam C

I must presume this is how he sees immigrants:

I'm not sure which is why I'm not throwing a fit yet. But if he is calling immigrants "disease carriers," I don't think that's going to fly.

I'd be happy to know it is something else. But his recent diaries were a series that ended in a very well thought through deportation plan. The diaries have been devoid of much of the emotionalism but they have definitely been focused on immigration and specifically deportation.

I am totally opposed to illegal immigration due to the costs imposed unequally on border states, and the unfairness to would be legal immigrants. And for the security problems.

But as to the character of the largest immigrant people, the Mexicans, I have some admiration for them. I don't look at them with rose colored glasses, but all in all they are an honest, god fearing, hard working people.

That kind of talk is counter productive.

It is ashame that because you are anti illegal immigration you can easily be called a racist.

Not all illegals carry diseases just like not all mosquitoes by TXPoet

carry malaria or west nile fever. But that mosquito that breached the security of your home could have either.

Legal immigrants get a medical screening to prevent the spread of disease. Smallpox was considered eliminated in the US as were the measles but they are occurring again and the CDC is saying they are imported to the US. TB is on the rise and if you look at the World Health Org's map you can see where it is now and you can see where it isn't. It is a fact that the threat of a pandemic is real and this country and its citizens must protect themselves.
I use the term illegal or undocumented immigrants for all people who enter this country illegal and for those break our immigration laws. I am not targeting any one race or ethnicity. BTW the biggest threat of communicable diseases is currently from Asia.
The following communicable diseases are specified as quarantinable by Executive Order of the President, as amended April 11, 2005: Cholera; Diphtheria; infectious Tuberculosis; Plague; Smallpox; Yellow Fever; and Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers (Lassa, Marburg, Ebola, Crimean-Congo, South American, and others not yet isolated or named); Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome; and influenza caused by novel or reemerging influenza viruses that are causing, or have the potential to cause, a pandemic.

I've heard they are infected with "Hoser's" disease and an affection for hockey.

Surely Shrilly the Federal Government will step in and stop the plague of illegal alien Canadians infected with these diseases infecting our country. Terrill and Phillip demand it.

Smallpox is eliminated and by sturner

Smallpox is eliminated and the last case of it was over 30 years ago in Somalia.

Measles is still extremely rare in this country and almost every outbreak in the past year has been linked to to a tourist or American citizen coming back from abroad. It's worth noting that almost everyone who got infected were not vaccinated. Lets also not forget that there are more and more parents not vaccinating their children because of the autism fear.

TB is not on the rise either, it actually continues to drop. Drug-resistant forms of TB are on the rise, and that's due to people not finishing their medication. While illegal immigrants do bring in the disease, the majority of it is still brought in by tourists and people who are traveling abroad.

I agree with you on illegal immigration. I just think that using the illness argument is flawed (especially when you have made up stuff). If you truly are concerned about illness being brought into the country, you should be advocating more stringent testing of tourists prior to entering the country, as well as those coming back from overseas.

Dude, you've got some serious explaining to do there. Charter schools have been a rampant success where used. Test scores are up. They are doing better in college. But, that's okay. Facts are unnecessary.
