To Live and Die In LA

The Democratic hopefuls for the 2010 Governors' race in California, current San Fran Mayor Gavin Newsom and LA mayor Antonio Villaraigosa mark the beginning of the end in the golden state. Both Newsom and Villaraigosa support illegal immigration and open border policy. Newsom, seen as the "counter culture" mayor gained national recognition for his support of gay marriage and promoting San Francisco as a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants, and Honduran drug dealers. Villaraigosa on the other hand is known for a more infamous event; the murder of an African American teenager by the hands of a Mexican gang member. The man was released by authorities who complied with Los Angeles' backwards immigration laws. Those laws are openly supported by Mayor Villaraigosa who has stated illegal immigrants help the economy in Los Angeles, so he has no intention of cracking down on the problem. No matter how many innocent people end up like the African American teen I spoke of earlier.
I have to say I'm glad I left California 4 years ago. It's obvious the state isn't what it was when I was growing up there. Both Mayor Newsom and Villaraigosa turned their respected cities into cesspools. Gavin Newsom is just plain crazy. Sometimes I get the feeling that he's on one big publicity stunt. Not a good way to promote a once great western city.
Whenever I look at Gavin Newsom I think of Gordon Gecko. There's just something sleazy about the guy.
Democrats may be terrible in CA, but at least they run people for office that stand some chance of appealing to someone...anyone. Republicans, not so much.
Might as well run the Ghost of Wally George.

statewide election if Lucifer was the Dem nominee. Just watch.

CongressCritter™: Never have so few felt like they were owed so much by so many for so little.
As mayor, he's up for reelection in 2009. He would have to do one of three things.
1) Run for reelection in LA and then seek the Governorship
2) not seek the mayors office but that would hurt his chance for the governorship as he wouldn't be in the press or exhibiting "leadership skills" were a crisis to arrive in LA
3) Run for reelection and hope that he has a shot at the governorship whenever that spot comes up again.
I personally think that either Newsom or Jerry Brown will be the dems candidate for Governor

won't forget (whether they forgive or not) that whole episode with his affair with the reporter. It did touch on one of the original 10 Commandments, after all, and, demographically speaking, I think it's safe to say that Hispanic voters are largely people of faith who have strong family values, too.
younger ones not as much. I could be completely wrong, but this is based off of my observations.

wearing clothes that honestly celebrate their sexuality does not make their personal attitudes any less conservative. I've found a few cultures are like that and it's not a bad lesson for American culture, which often seems more about keeping up appearances than behaving responsibly.
People from Mexico are not afraid of being called Mexican...OK it's gone...
Villaraigosa gives Mexicans that live in LA what they want...as soon as he stops..he's gone.
He is the Worst kind of Politician...he's a liar and a Thief...These june bugs suck...

Has any Republican thrown his/her name into the race?
