Look, I understand why Moe banned the guy and closed the comments, but we really deserved to have our fun first! There is an artistic quality to rants that deserves our attention, if only for the sake of Quality Control.
I have some questions for you good folks here on RedState:
questions? Yeah, right!
How can you continue support George W. Bush? Are you not aware that he took the largest budget surplus in history and made it the largest budget deficit in history (With a GOP congress, I might add). Do the myriad violations of the Constitution - spying on citizens under the guise of "fighting terrorism", suspending habeas corpus for "suspected" enemy combatants ( a term invented to circumvent the Constitution and the Geneva Convention), the Terry Schiavo affair, etc., not bother you? Are you willing to let blind, unquestioning partisanship trump our Constitution, that document upon which our great nation was founded?
This may be news to you, but RS hasn't exactly been the GWB fan club lately. And of course, he isn't running. Fighting terrorism in quotes - cute. Lincoln suspended habeas corpus for citizens in fighting insurrection- this is a Republican tradition- so we just can't help it. I'm not sure what Terry Schiavo has to do with your critique of GWB on terrorism, unless that he acts to impede the willful infliction of undeserved death.
Are you aware that the REAL reason for the Iraq debacle was Saddam Hussein's decision to switch to the Euro from the dollar as the accepted form of payment for Iraq's oil, effectively netting his country 30 billion dollars and severely devaluing the US dollar? Do you enjoy being lied to by your leaders?
Wow, who knew? No one except you, I guess. Saddam was certainly willing to take USD receipts in all those glorious, murderous years. Note- $30 Bil is a drop in the world currency bucket- the Democratic Congress does more damage than that in their sleep.
Does Bush's rampant cronyism (heckava job, Brownie, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, etc., bother you in the least?
It would bother us more if they were still around. Hell, Ashcrof't been gone for nearly four years. And weren't you libs pining for him to be back during the reign of terror of Mr. Gonzales?
How about his inept response to Hurricane Katrina?
I quite agree that GWB's performance pales in performance to Nagin's underwater busses, Blanco's crying jags on TV and the Democratic kleptocracy's willingness to laissez les bons temps rouler and not do s**t about the levees lo these hundred years.
Maybe cutting taxes for the ultra-wealthy while spending like a LIBERAL puts joy in your heart?
We LOVE tax cuts, because unlike liberal trustfunders whose income is sheltered, ours isn't. One would think you would like the liberal spending over at Kos or wherever the hell you hole up
How about his stubborn refusal to admit the No Child Left Behind Act is a miserable failure? Is punishing schools that are already inept by taking away funding because enough students aren't graduating really the answer?
Pull federal moneys from inept schools that don't do their job and are thus wasting the money? Oh, the SCANDAL of it all!
How about Israel? Do you question why the biggest state sponsor of terrorism of the world, the brutal thug state of Israel, is the largest benafactor of US foreign aid? Perhaps you aren't aware that this A) Is a huge waste of US tax dollars that the Israeli terorists really don't need and certainly don't deserve, and B) Engenders quite a bit of animosity in people who hate Israel? Why do we owe Israel? It befuddles me how the whole rest of the world understands that Israel is a brutal, ruthless aggressor, yet citizens of the US seem to think they are a "valuable ally". That can probably be attributed to the US media, who is markedly pro-Israel. I've actually got the solution to that and an astoundingly novel concept: read some foreign news!!!
Israel is not sending suicide bombers into Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, in case you haven't noticed. As for foreign news, perhaps you noticed that US-friendly governments have come to power in France and Germany, and the not-so-friendly Gordon Brown of the UK is in deep do-do.
I understand that you might encounter some troubling facts about the US (i.e. world opinion of us), but sometimes the truth hurts. On second thought, don't bother. That would be unpatriotic. Continue to live in your bubbles and chant your "USA is #1!!" mantras. Fantasyland beats reality any day of the week, right? Eventually, the rest of the world will wake up and realize their sins, and become glorious democracies, like us.
Does the truth hurt? Can't tell you because we haven't read any here so far. Of course, when even IRAQ is having elections, democracy ain't doing too bad!
Kind Regards,
A Non-Fascist Patriot who loves America but will question and tell the truth about our government's actions and the resulting repercussions, not espouse the delusion that the US is incapable of wrongdoing

Good job, streetwise.
He tried to use this link over at TMR to substantiate his claim that the war was started because of Sadam's willingness to switch to the Euro:
Check it out. It's quite entertaining in its stupidity.

The purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better.
Dr. Theodore Dalrymple
of his fan club....do he and I disagree on things well of course we do...as humans no one gets along 100 percent of the time...I would vote for him again if he could run...and an answer to the idiot whose post was closed...BDS is so unattractive it makes you old before your time and gives you wrinkles from all that frowning...let go and let God ;-)
Freedom of Religion not Freedom from Religion
BDS on the part of liberals always goes too far, that is true, But on the other hand. As a conservative Bush has been a pretty mediocre president. Yes, he gave us some temporary tax cuts, two good supreme court justices, and he killed a lot of jihadists. That is all good, but he also increased spending, the size of government programs, and the deficit, all to new heights. He almost lost the war for us by sticking too long and too stubbornly to Rumsfeld and his failed policies. And let's not forget Harriet Miers, Gonzales, and Brownie. His cronyism and poor judgement for underlings has been a source of embarrassment.

Harriet Miers and Brownie...I personally had no problem with Gonzales and I respect Donald Rumsfeld but you are entitled to your opinion and I mine..and I could never be accused of being reflexively defending the President because I do defend him whenever someone takes a smack at him.
Freedom of Religion not Freedom from Religion
are we wallowing in the lowest set of approval numbers in a generation, and Republicans are losing everywhere? I give him about a C-, maybe a C+ depending on how things wash out.

in 1945, one MUCH worse than the GOP's fairly standard sixth year slump in 2006.
Time will tell.
As lousy a communicator as he is, the bigger problem is NewTone™. Your old sig line was the real deal: GWB's a folder, not a fighter.

CongressCritter™: Never have so few felt like they were owed so much by so many for so little.
New Tone™ guided the Bush White House's Communications policy ... may it die a painful torturous death.
I'm all for civil discourse when the other side is being civil, which is not often these days. Then alternative modes of interaction are in order.

It's just the Italian in me, I guess!
"world opinion of us". Gosh, I'm SOOO heartbroken that the leftist regimes and liberal governments don't like us. Boo-hoo, my feelings are so hurt!
This is one of the largest liberal mental diseases failings....they just want to be loved by the world, and they cannot STAND it when our government does something in our best interest that the rest of the world doesn't like. The left needs to grow up and grow a backbone. Wimps...

“You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say. ” - Martin Luther
Good point but you missed a very important world demographic!
The worlds thugs and dictators opinion of us is at a all time low! (I blame Bush)
North Korea, Iran and Syria (among others) have been given the cold shoulder for far too long! (I also blame the Joooooooooooooes!)
Things could change however as I understand that Barry will be rushing to board Air Force One to heal their hurt feeling if elected.
It’s not too late, vote Democratic in 08! The opinion of the worlds thugs of us depends on it!

is that he has now been banned twice over on TMR [Making him something like the 2nd and 3rd bans ever on TMR].
At least he took my editorial advice and formatted the post so that it wasn't just one long paragraph. Looks like there may be hope for him after all.

Moe can correct me, but I think that I recognized the screen name that he was using over on TMR as someone who has been banned already on RedState.
