There are two simple reason why Senator Clinton continues her fight for the Democratic nomination. One is purely personal for herself and the other is of course political. Senator Clinton in my opinion has been planning for running for the precedency since 1995 some 13 years ago. Can you imagine during her eight years in the White House when she was alone in the Oval Office sitting behind the President desk and saying to herself that in time all of this power and prestige would be hers for the taking. She has done just about everything to make sure that her turn for the precedency would be smooth as slik during her years as First Lady and as the Senator from New York. Now her dreams are going up in smoke and has costed her more personal damage than anything during her time as First Lady of the United States. When she drops out of the race in the next three weeks or at the convention she going to be in serious campaign debt and never be respected like she used to among African Americans. All of this is driving her up the wall at nights wondering how she lost to a no nothing Senator from Illinois. The precedency for Senator Clinton is like a drug she needs in order for to move on considering all of the investment she has made over the years. Without it, its going to case her not just grief but pain for herself and for President Clinton. My other point is that both Clintons are ruthless political animals that don't take defeat easily especially Senator Clinton. One thing is for sure if anybody ever crossed the Clintons they are going to make you life an absolute hell. I think that why some members of the Clinton adminstration have endorsed Senator Obama thinking that its a way of being free from them. I remember back in January right after the Nevada primary in which Seantor Clinton and Obama had words at the airport. Right there I know in my gut is when Senator Obama became convinved that everything that conservative been saying about the Clintons are true. One other note that just came to mind is that Senator Clinton still has a narrow chance to win the popular vote if she wins big West Virgina, Kentucky, and Puerto Rico while keeping it close in the other states. I recommend reading Jay Cost blog over at Real Clear Politics in which he put a good case that Senator Clinton could win at least the popular vote. Imagine what this would due to Senator Clinton if she get the popular vote and not get the nomination.

I would like to personally thank all RedState members for providing great comments on my first entry a few days ago. If anybody has other comments on why Senator Clinton fight on please post them. I find this topic on what she thinks interesting.
