President Bush [Closed and annotated.]

As a Libertarian who obviously votes Republican [as opposed to a Paleoconservative with a bug up his unmnentionable about Israel. And, hey, look - retread, too! Try harder, kids. - Moe Lane], I have a difficult time defending the Presidency of George W. Bush.
Smaller governemt, i.e less government intrusion on our lives, is an extremely important ideal. I can't in good faith say that has been practiced by GWB. I have really tried to accept that violating the Constitution to ferret out and catch terrorists was necessary, but at this point in time, in my opinion, that is just not reality.
With regard to foreign policy, I was in total agreement with GWB when he said we should not be in the business of nation building. One look at Iraq tells you that he hasn't practiced what he preached.
Being a fiscal conservative, I honestly can't understand Bush's reckless spending. Cutting taxes is obviously a good thing, but cutting taxes while drastically increasing your spending just can't, and has not, worked. The out of control spending of the last 7 years makes me think he is a liberal Dem in disguise! Hopefully McCain doesn't repeat his fiscal mistakes. My fear is that moderates or independents have been so incensed at his performance that they will vote Dem or stay home, and a Barack Obama Presidency is a truly horrifying prospect.

on the ballot this go round.
There is absolutely no reason for you to take up good diary space with this two paragraph throw-away.
Save it for an open thread or say noting at all.
