Ok, I can't stay away. I truly meant to leave until at least 3.0 went live. However with a brief email exchange with Erick and a failed attempt at making my own Slatecard (bloody site won't let me stay logged on long enough to add anyone to my Slatecard), I truly can't stay away. I never been able to stay away from a site until I am banned and that is what will take to get rid of me.
I think with the current firestorm over Obama's wanting to pander to Iran and Obama's environmental plan, a McCain Presidency isn't looking all that bad after all. If you agree, please donate to McCain. The man can use all the money he can get to counter every underhanded tactic the Democrats can throw at the poor man.
However all of that is not what ultimately brought me back. Something happen in the world that has struck a blow to Terrorism and our good friend in Venezuela, and my journal or the forum I am part of has to small of an audience. This news is just too awesome to keep all to myself.

Meet Nelly Ávila Moreno, better known as her FARC guerrilla alias as "Karina" for a series of massacres, attacks on public officials and kidnappings. She is the leader of the 47th Front (also known as "Leonardo Posada Pedraza") of the Northwestern Bloc. While everyone in the USA has been focus on the all important back and forth by Obama and McCain, this terrorist was surrendering to the Colombian Army. Her move to surrender comes after not talking to FARC's Secretariat (a seven member leading council) for over two years and the death of Secretariat Iván Ríos.
This is a major victory for both President Alvaro Uribe and all of Colombia.
But wait, it gets even better:
A day after surrendering to the army, Colombia's best-known female rebel commander urged other guerrillas Monday to follow her example and abandon their decades-long struggle.
Apparently, the joint US-Colombian efforts on FARC have left the organization a shadow of it once was. The withering offensive have isolated much of FARC and a couple of Fronts are "breaking up."
As with Iraq, it is shown that terrorist groups can't stand up to an intense military campaign. Take heart in that the War on Terror can be won and we are seeing the results from the terrorists themselves.
So the current narrative on Barack Obama's desire to meet with people like Hugo Chávez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad takes on new meaning. While we are on the verge of winning, Obama wants to surrender Iraq and make friends with our enemies. History will judge us on what we do in this Global War on Terror in the next few years.
If you agree that we shouldn't be giving up just yet and that we finally need to stop fighting each other, I beg of you to please donate to McCain. Just voting for McCain is not going to help. He needs to be able to spread his message to Independents and Regean-Democrats that making peace with our enemies is not the way to go. The alliterative is much worse.

Everyday, I am given more proof that the American Left has gone completely out to lunch. Take this blog for example:
Brace Yourselves for the BS on Eldaneyis Mosquera
Pleasenot that Elizabeth Berry gets Nelly Ávila Moreno's name wrong right from the start. This shows me a lack of professionalism, research, or even basic fact checking. It only gets worse from then out...
I just read this morning where [Nelly Ávila Moreno], the most senior woman leader in the Revolutionary Armed forces of Colombia was captured. I’m sure the story line for most of the mainstream US media will portray her as an “enemy”.
Well first off, the MSM hasn't even pick this up! Hell, I haven't even heard a peep out of FOXNews over this little news story. Secondly, she is our enemy. She killed people for a living.
An incoherent rant follows. I don't get these people.
"Secondly, she is our enemy. She killed people for a living."
But she's a woman so we can't let them jail or kill her. Women get extra special rights because they are superior to men in every way---- isn't this what the Hillary camp is all about??

But really, you and I disagree mainly on procedure, not substance, and

That right there was worth coming back.
We may disagree on the small things about McCain, but we can surly agree that Obama should not get the White House.
At first I'll admit that I was taken with Obama. Charisma, reaching our youth.
Then I found out about his abortion vote, and his special interests, and his rabidly pro-black-white-hate-damn-America pastor, and his possibly ruinous views on economy, taxation, healthcare, and infrastructure.
I'd elect Barny the Purple Dinosaur before Obama.
McCain is way better (but still no Huckabee)-still values wins over charisma in my book every time!
for America, period, and your blog points out the vile and decrepit entity the dems have become in their treatment of this ally.
great blog man

Molon Labe!
Pelosi, Obama et al are likely enraged that Colombia has cracked down on their fellow travelers in the communis...ahem...."labor movement" down there.

goes out to JSOC and 7th SFG (A). Nice work, boys!
Are they so blinded by their belief in the "goodness of man" that no one except a misguided right wing conservative is "bad" in their eyes?
Or are the majority of "progressives" so morally bankrupt that they are unable to see or admit that one of their ilk could be wrong?

Wonder how that jail stay is going to be for her :-)
Freedom of Religion NOT Freedom from Religion

A lot of people will not die because the Colombians stood up to terrorists and did not listen to the American left.
