I don't know who, precisely it was that decided to try this meme, but I saw the picture of the sunglasses early last week and even at standard 1:1 magnification it was clear that the Vice President was holding a fishing rod and looking in that general direction while doing so.

I suspect that the reason people questioned it stemmed from the fact that some of them have never held one. That and the fact that they all wear tinfoil hats.

All in all, I bet Cheney got a big laugh out of the contrversy. Great work, guys!

I happen to have a photograph of Barack Obama that "shows" he's actually an extraterrestrial. Everyone knew mine was a joke and a spoof, but the converse wasn't true when it came to a legitimate reflecton in the VP's sunglasses. No wonder Lieberman left the Democratic Party....it has to be getting pretty weird over there these days...
