I dunno Jeff, it was a stupid thing to say (you're supposed to compare Congress to drunks, not the voters) but he's right about the fact that just writing 1-shot checks to people is a bad idea, and he's right about the need to plan longer-term.
That's not to suggest that Bloomberg is good on his fiscal-policy plans. And I still think that especially with McCain as the nominee, a third-party run by Bloomberg would not only be dumb but would hurt the Democrats more than our side.
