You can't control them. They cannot be controlled. No sane Presidential candidate wants his supporters going out and deliberately attacking entire demographics seemingly at random; but that's apparently the Ron Paul model, and it's ended up graphically demonstrating that there is such a thing as too much bad publicity.

They'll be writing books about this campaign, to be sure - but the books will be cautionary tales, not triumphant paeans.
