She claims that her students violated her civil rights. She says student's "anti-intellectualism" made her life a living hell. So, this ex-Dartmouth professor is threatening to sue her students for the temerity to have doubted her hairbrained theories on "ecofeminism" and the "French narrative theory."

Oh, professor Priya Venkatesan was all in high dudgeon that students would dare question her efforts to "problematize" science all right. She was all discombobulated that her students were "irrational," and "subversive" with their questions. She even thought them filled with "fascist demagoguery" -- after all, isn't it "fascist" to ask questions and not t just swallow whole what a professor dishes out? Why, it was so horrible for her that she felt she had to consult a physician for her symptoms of "intellectual distress."

We are certainly used to seeing the MSM causing trouble for conservatives and this one is no different at least on that level. But the interesting thing here is that the trouble a social conservative discovered was as a result of what she wrote in the MSM as opposed to what was written about her by the MSM. It seems that the opinion editorial written by Crystal Dixon for the Toledo Free Press got her fired by the University of Toledo because... well, you know how universities are all about free expression and speech, right? Unfortunately for Dixon, though, hers wasn't the proper, politically correct sort of speech that is officially approved of by the thugs at the University of Toledo.

According to CNN, with 58% of the vote counted at 10:35 PM Eastern, she beat him 65%-28%, well over double.

There is this little nasty (if you are a Democrat) tidbit buried in the exit polls.

Looking ahead to the general election, 59 percent of Clinton voters say they would either vote for Republican John McCain or not vote at all if Obama is the Democratic nominee. Thirty six percent of Clinton voters said they would vote for Obama while 35 percent said they would vote for McCain and 24 percent said they would sit the election out. Fifty one percent of Obama’s voters said they would support Clinton in the general election while 31 percent said they would support McCain and 14 percent would not vote.

To all republicans who can't stand McCain and intend to sit home in November rather than sully your pure conservative conscience by voting for the apostate, I have one observation.

First, for the record, McCain was nowhere near the top of my list.

Second, you are living in the primaries. They are over for us and not (pass the popcorn) for the Dems. But we have our guy. Once the primaries are over, they are over. Reset your dials, get rid of your wish list for what you would like to see in a candidate. McCain is what he is.

The Washington Post today has really outdone itself. Did you know that Indianans and Pennsylvanians are racists? And if you live in Munice or Kokomo, Indiana or Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, you are a particularly vile strain.

Listen to the broad brush the Post uses to slander people. Note the neat trick in a lot of these examples: Use a term describing several or many people, then cite an example of one person uttering a racial slur. All emphasis mine.

I must say my first reaction was shock and than my second was "they want to hash this out now"...I am sure that the NY Times oped page would not go with this opinion if not to get it out of the way for the general election.

From the NY Times article:

"But it is a mistake to conflate his African identity with his Muslim heritage. Senator Obama is half African by birth and Africans can understandably identify with him. In Islam, however, there is no such thing as a half-Muslim. Like all monotheistic religions, Islam is an exclusive faith."

Here is a perfect example of the sort of wild-eyed leftism that is so infused into the very souls of every journalist that claims the mantle of the fourth estate. It's also a perfect example of how they are in the tank for their messiah, Obama. Newsweek's Rich Wolffe and Evan Thomas have presented a fawning review of how Barack Obama is so cool and collected under political fire, but warns their messiah that the GOP is still filled with meanies who have been "successfully scaring voters since 1968." Of course, not a word is spoken of all the scare tactics that the Democrat Party has used since time immemorial and Wolffe and Thomas act as if their pals at the DNC are just innocents in the wilderness unfairly assaulted by those nasty Republicans.

The Society of Professional Journalists has decided that it is best to leave a suspect's race out of crime reporting except for "extraordinary" reasons. Of course, to the SPJ, "good reporting" means race info in a story about crime isn't "useful to people in the community" even if the race of a suspect is part of a police report apparently. Despite their claim that they aren't toeing the PC line, their explanation is filled with just the sort of reasoning based on PC thinking -- one of which is that all whites are racists.
