The End of the primary season portends to be the start of the entertainment.

The Dem primary season ends tonight, but methinks the show is just starting to get good.
In case you care, TV Newser has a guide to tonight's coverage, on all the outlets, of the last primary results of 2008: in Montana and in South Dakota.
The Associated Press, for some reason, reported earlier that Hillary was going to announce that she was quitting the race tonight.
Hillary's peeps shot back with a press release:
"The AP story is incorrect. Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination this evening."
The AP says things.
We're going to fight this thing to Denver!
Richard Cohen of the Washington Post loathes the racism and the sexism of Americans.
But Cohen loathes the Democratic Party.
He loathes the racism used against Barack Obama, and that was lit and fueled by Clinton's campaign.
He loathes the sexism used against Hillary Clinton, and that was lit and fueld by Obama's campaign.
Yes, it has been ugly. The Democrats are an ugly party. Their phony veneer of equality, justice, and harmony has been stripped, and they were the ones splashing the turpentine.
In the words of Tolkien's Feanor: "Let their ships burn!"
And burn they will, as maneuvers become more important than mere votes. When will Harold Ickes get around to writing a political thriller? Could be it's what he's doing now.

Obama has a VP pick to smoothe this over. I remember McCain and his pals calling us all racists and xenophobes for opposing his amnesty plan and most have come around to back him.
We are watching the last gasp of the chaos.

McCain calling me a racist is not the same as Obama calling me a racist. Why? Well the reason why is that McCain is not being racist and then calling me racist, whereas Obama is racist and associates with racists and would be considered on the "other side" of the racial war, for lack of a better term. I believe that the Hillary supporters will have a harder time accepting the racism of Obama than the "no amnesty" group had forgiving McCain for calling them xenophobes. But I could be wrong, trust me it happens daily....;^)

Where McCain and others did directly call us racists. And I don't care because I'm still voting for him and his veto pen.
Obama is going out of his way to kiss their rear now. Keep in mind that these people cheer when Hillary says we have to get out of Iraq tomorrow. McCain's message will offend Hillary voters too. It will be a lesser of two evils vote. I think most will pick Obama in the end. Especially the white women concerned with choice issues and healthcare.

The difference like I said before is that Obama is racist and McCain is not. And Obama did call the people of PA racist, he just used more eloquent words than McCain did.
"Antipathy to those not like them" that is the same as calling one a xenophobe, just sound more purty..

...earlier in the Primary cycle, when a press outlet released a story that some candidate (not sure if D or R, or which one - Fred?) was going to bow out - but released this nugget just before the voting.
Despite being untrue, the report was largely credited with significantly altering who folks voted for in the Primary races that day, because they thought that candidate 'X' was no longer running.
Could this be more of the same? The Obama MSM machine releases a bogus report on HRC's graceful exit, just before folks vote in the last couple Primaries?
The fact that we (the American population) are treated like herd beasts is revolting. What's even worse, however, is that the tactic seems to work, which may indicate the revolting assumptions are not entirely incorrect...
That this works, and is permitted without any reprecussions, is really sad, and does not bode well for our heros....
And reason 54,651 for the Clintonistas to be justifiably angry.
The Dems will likely unite, if for no other reason then to gain power (is there anything they love more)?
Instead of kicking back and watching the ending of the show, we should be taking full advantage of this rare and narrowing opportunity to try to win back every single precinct we can...and stave off the loss of others.

IF THEY DO.
Will it be believable after what has happened?
...but they will unite against the GOP.
And the sad thing is that many elected officials gave them reason to do so. THAT is why is is so important to support conservatives in primaries...and take down the porkers already there.
That will not happen. It is too late for that.
To most in the rank-and-file, it is more about the candidate than beating the GOP. You've got former DNC boss Terence McAuliffe going on ABC's This Week last Sunday saying, basically, that the Democratic Party has just about left him. This is not the Dem Party he knows, he said.
I think these problems run deeper than you might realize.
Fox is reporting that the AP has said Hillary has told NY lawmakers she woudl be open to being Barack's VP.
Question is-would Michelle allow it?

Just a typical, small town, British-American girl...
...because Michelle doesn't want to be a widow
Obama has praised Lincoln's selection of top rivals and he is compared with JFK who selected his top rival. I think he will spin it into his unity message. It is possible and if he does I don't see many Clinton people not backing the ticket.
We have to get someone great for McCain. I say, Jindal.

Jindal stays where he is, builds up his skills through two terms as Governor, and then he can run for President.

What are your thoughts on Sarah Palin?
I know she's fresh, and doesn't have the lengthy executive (i.e. multiple terms as Gov.) experience we usually want (not that Obama does either, but I digress) - however - it just seems to me that she would be rather hard to attack by the Dems, given her status (female, new mom, mother with son in Iraq, etc.).
I've become rather fond of the idea, but I value your opinion...
...with two exceptions:
1). Jindal is for 2016. LA needs him too badly.
2). No squishy moderates (sayeth the squishy moderate).

but...but...she's so pretty....
This is a chance to play the game and not be tarnished by a defeat. That will rest on McCain.

Louisiana elected him Governor, not Governor-until-the-Veep-slot-opened-up. I repeat: we're not going to make the mistake with Jindal that the Democrats are making with Obama.

A strong young vibrant conservative like Jindal could aide us downticket even if we do lose and he could aide in a razor-thin victory. That is more important than one state, IMO.

FDR ran with Cox in 1920. This helped groom him for later glory. We need to start farming our talent.

I just prefer we do it in the Farm League and not the show. To say it another way: Let Jindal be the big fish in the small pond and let him groom those who will takeover for him when we pull him out of the pond so he can rule the ocean.
