Like Glenn, RedState no longer uses BlogAds for advertising sales. That said, Henry Copeland has been one of the mediums great supporters for a long time. He's launched the Blog Reader Project, a wide survey of blog readership across not only political lines, but completely different spheres as well. If you're a RedState reader, you can fill out a survey here. (All information is kept confidential, etc.)
One of the largest obstacles for building a successful new medium is the ability to show return on investment to large advertisers. Print and broadcast media have for decades studied their demographics carefully to deliver the right kind of readers/viewers to the right kind of advertisers. The Blog Reader Project is a great tool for the blogosphere - and for RedState. While the personal information completed by survey takers remains confidential - the aggregate data for RedState readers specifically will be used to help RedState continue to grow and be successful.

As a longtime supporter and occasionally intemperate crank on the subject of the blogosphere taking whatever steps it can to transform itself into a bonafide for-profit venture, I'm happy to take the survey -- preliminary as it might be.
I'm all in favor of giving advertisers the information they need to make reasonable buying decisions and help the medium grow out of its total-amateur status (with all the "Billy Blogger in his basement with a Lyndon LaRouche T-shirt" connotations it has engendered in some otherwise intelligent and powerful people in the federal government.)
And Mike Krempasky knows who I'm referring to with that quote.
So good luck to everyone, and you have my support.
that took forever!
