Update as soon as I see the transcript, but check this out:
"I want to say also, that this may be the last day I'm ever involved in a campaign of this kind," the former president said at a town hall at the Milbank Visitor Center.
Matthew Berger's couching it in terms of him just campaigning for his wife (Allahpundit read it the same way), but there was nothing in there to suggest that he was limiting it to just this primary.
To be blunt about it, was this a threat?

PS: Well, if you don't think that it was, surely you do think that somebody should get him to confirm that it wasn't, yes? Should be as easy as pie, if you're right.

...is that he didn't say anything about in what capacity he might be involved with wrt future campaigns; but whether he was planning to be involved in future campaigns at all. For a former two-term President, that's a startling comment to make... which is why I think that he should probably clarify it. :)
The Fuzzy Puppy of the VRWC. I've been usurped!
...although that would be a pretty good reason to vote for Obama if it was.
Wait, then we'd be stuck with Barry instead of Billy... never mind.

it's worth campaigning for the first female president but not the second black president.
After all, it may take a clandestine effort to push McCain over the top.
...a legitimate suspicion about the timing of that surgical procedure; but it did end up being awfully convenient to Bush, who of course had no anointed successor at the time.
Probably a coincidence, though.
The Fuzzy Puppy of the VRWC. I've been usurped!
And while the fair and balanced team at MSNBC had not a shred more of evidence than you, the Matthews-Olbermann axis indeed raised that suspicion. A lot, now that I look back.

votes for a thirtd term for Bill, knowing Hillary will have her counsel. Yes, the far left hates Bill and Hillary a bit less so, but they are more FOR Obama.

The Campaign has repeatedly moved bill from center stage during the primaries. They obviously felt the negatives outweighed the positives.

divorced from Bill, she would have had no chance from the getgo. The fact of Bill made her viable.

On one hand, I think the post-Super Tuesday portion of the Democratic primaries have shown Bill to be vindictive when crossed. I can't see him sabotaging Obama if Hillary drops out- if she chooses to exit the race tomorrow then she is doing so of her own volition and not because she was forced out. In other words, I think the situation is different than if, say, Howard Dean began positioning the DNC to openly support Obama. Furthermore, Hillary has stated quite clearly that she would support the party's nominee. I doubt Bill works against Obama if his wife is working with him. But Bill sitting it out? I could see him recusing himself from the process.

You know, the part where Glenn Close comes up out of the bathtub wielding a big *ss knife?
For some reason, I can't quite get that image out of my head this evening as I hear this talk about Hillary conceding and all that jazz.
I'm wondering if she isn't good and buried until after the convention.

Obviously if his wife loses he probably won't be involved in a campaign in the same capacity again.
He's basically been Hilary's co-candidate, and he won't be running for anything again himself.
I don't think there was a threat in there at all.
