Barack Obama's spine is apparently made of jello. No wonder the guy's wife has never been proud of America and thinks people are really mean. Heck, her husband is ready to hand the keys to the nation over to China and welcome them as our communist overlords.
While Clinton is out urging the President to boycott China, Obama refuses to do so. Why? Because he doesn't want to offend our banker.
"It's very hard to tell your banker that he's wrong," Obama said, after talking about the need to restore America's stance in the world, "And if we are running huge deficits and big national debts and we're borrowing money constantly from China, that gives us less leverage. It give us less leverage to talk about human rights, it also is giving us less leverage to talk about the uneven trading relationship that we have with China."
Here's the deal Barack: as one of the other contributors here said the other day, when you owe the bank $1 million, the bank owns you. When you owe the bank $1 trillion, you own the bank.
If Hillary were smart, she'd play this up huge in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
If Barack Obama will not stand up to the Chinese for their persecution of Christians, Tibetans, Falun Gong, and their persecution of people in general who speak out against their government, he is not fit to lead the land of the free and home of the brave.
Why? Because if Barack Obama is too intimidated by a bunch of communist Chinese, he is a wuss.

whether this is better or worse than his threatening to bomb and invade our allies.
Overall he is leading the foot in mouth brigade on foreign policy this election cycle.
"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it."
-Thomas Paine: The American Crisis, No. 4, 1777
In a press release dated August 14, 2007 he had no problem telling the Chinese that they were wrong. I guess this all a part of his "new politics" of self contradiction.
In 2006, China was the largest importer of toys, dolls, and games to the American marketplace. These imports total $14.6 billion and account for 86% of total U.S. imports of toys, dolls, and games. Although most of these toys are safe, recent events suggest that a number of Chinese manufacturers are cutting corners and using cheap and illegal substitutes such as lead paint. The resulting lower prices of many foreign-made toys are attractive, especially to low-income families, who, along with the rest of our citizens, trust that products imported into the United States undergo a thorough inspection. Unfortunately, it appears that their trust may be misplaced.
If we have an opportunity to protect our nation’s most vulnerable population – our children – from harmful toxins, we should do so, and a good place to start is safeguarding their toys. Since the USTR is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade policy and overseeing negotiations with other countries, I am interested in learning the following:
* Given the large number of toys imported from China with high lead levels, has USTR raised concerns about this issue with the Chinese government? If so, what is the response of the Chinese government to these concerns?
* If these concerns have not been raised with the Chinese government, does USTR intend to raise this issue in the near future?

Hey Geniuses, I don't think he is trying to empower the Chinese folks. Pretty sure he's drawing attention to the fact that the disastrous economic policies of the past 7 long years have put the US in an extremely unfortunate situation, where we are fundamentally opposed to the human rights policies of China (at least, all of us except the pro-torture cabal in the White House), but so much of our cash and debt has been shipped overseas to that country, it is difficult to come down on them in any meaningful way.
Ya'll crack me up.
TehDEAN, what is the alternative? We are in a global marketplace. Do you restrict access of American consumers to more inexpensive foreign goods? How do you do that? Doing that will be tantamount to one of the largest "tax" increases on Americans ever.
If Barak, the great orator, wanted to say what you said, he WOULD say it!
I love all these cleanup crews coming in after some economically uneducated democrat puts their foot in their mouth. Repeated clean up episodes "What he meant to say was....." Automatic sign of incompetence.
Cleanup aisle 5, aisle 2, and aisle 18!
Ask not what I can do for my country, ask what my country can do for me. Washington Elected Elite

Is it really wise to say so publicly?
