So, Michelle Obama tells a crowd "Barack's a lawyer, I'm a lawyer, everybody we know are lawyers."
Maybe *that* explains why he relies on so many half truths and half facts and denial, non-denails to skirt the issue of whether he is in fact lying. Here's a new one he is going to have a hard time getting out of.
Soren filled you in on Nadmi Auchi, an associate of Saddam Hussein's who helped Saddam in his rise to power. Obama attended a reception for Auchi at Tony Rezko's house. Auchi gave Rezko a bunch of money shortly before Rezko subsidized Obama's house purchase. Auchi later was convicted of fraud in France.
Naturally, Obama denied any association with Auchi and did not "remember" this whole party for Auchi. Yet again, we have an Obama lie.
Dem presidential contender Barack Obama's handlers may be telling the press Obama has NO "recollection" of a 2004 party at influence peddler Tony Rezko's Wilmette house, but a top Sneed source claims Obama not only gave Rezko's guest of honor, Iraqi billionaire Nadhmi Auchi, a big welcome . . . but he made a few toasts!
Some of you are still dwelling on the bit about Michelle Obama saying everyone they know are lawyers. Yeah, that whole "I'm just like you guys" thing is another we can add to the lie list with the Auchi one.
Man I hope this guy beats Hillary.

No offense meant to anyone in the legal profession. Well, not much offense, anyway, because it's up to God to get you. :>)
You can tell what he remembers and what he doesnt'?
People in politics meet literally tens of thousands of people. In my business, I meet hundreds a year. If you threw out a name of someone I had dinner with in the last year, I might not remember them.
I am not defending Obama - can't stand the guy. But this sounds like a Kos "Bush Lied" post. There have been one "Obama Lied" post after another - and some have been pretty thin, especially for a politician.
Is it payback?
Maybe we are in the silly season and my expectations should be lowered?
the next several months will show just how "thin" his lies are.

...but the reason Obama is getting hounded on everything is because he held himself out to be a "post-partisan" politician who was a paragon of openness and honesty. We literally knew almost nothing about the guy until a few months ago. Now it seems every single one of his close friends and associates are racists, socialists, criminals, and terrorists. Plus he has also weaseled out of an agreement with McCain over public financing when it looked as if that might be a disadvantage for him.

Seems like the guy collects radical/racist/shady friends like some folks collect stamps ...
He associated with all of these folks AFTER they became famous for their radical beliefs/actions, not before ...
Its not guilt by association, its associating with the guilty ...

According to Michael Dobbs, the prosecution's witness may have some credibility issues and it may boil down to a "he said, he said" situation. I believe that Obama's statement that McCain wants a 100-year war in Iraq is a lie because it is so easily provable. The Rezko-Auchi hasn't reached that threshhold, at least not yet.
1. McCain, 2. Thompson, 3. Giuliani, 4. Romney
....but I believe he is backed up by wiretaps that confirm what he said. The prosecution would not have brought this to trial if all they had was the testimony of Stewart Levine, who is questionable at best.
