In the last go round, the Democrats tried their best to recruit Iraq War veterans to run as anti-war candidates against the GOP. A few of them got elected.
This time, the GOP should consider it an opportunity for pay back. And they can start in North Carolina 7 where Maj. Will Breazeale, the executive officer of the 2nd Battalion, 323rd Regiment in the Army Reserves, intends to run against Rep. Mike McIntyre.
The district has voted Republican for President and McIntyre has tried mightily to be a Blue Dog Democrat. But it keeps getting harder the more Nancy pushes him to toe the line.
Breazeale just might have an opening to take out McIntyre. At the very least, he should try.
