The Obama Kowtow -- is he actually throwing the country under the bus to benefit Chicago?

Hmmmm . . . .
I posted earlier today about Obama kowtowing to the Chinese. He doesn't want to say anything mean to the Chinese because, in his words, "It's very hard to tell your banker that he's wrong."
But in 2006, Obama took the Chinese to task over all their faulty products -- the lead paint in toys, the poisoned drugs and food, etc.
Why the change?
Moe Lane offers a clue.
The junior Senator from Illinois has a particularly tricky balancing act when it comes to the subject of the Olympics: Chicago is vying to host the 2016 games and one of Obama's top campaign advisors and close friends, Valerie Jarrett, is the vice chair of Chicago's bid committee.
If he's willing to throw his grandmother and staffers under the bus so easily, I guess he's also willing to throw the country under the bus when it's convenient.
How delightful.
The problem, of course, is that he's already signaled to our enemies in the Middle East that his policy as President will be to tuck tail and run home from fights. He exacerbates it by doing the same to China. I await his capitulation to Hugh Chavez next.

"...a boycott of the opening ceremonies should be firmly on the table, but this decision should be made closer to the games."
It's technically on the table until your team shows up and marches. Also, boycotting the OC and then participating is utterly two-faced. If I were holding an olympics and someone boycotted the OC, I'd refuse to give their athletes medals regardless of how well they performed.

China has this country by its gonads:
1) they hold a Trillion in USA Currency reserves.
2) they provide the USA consumer with about 1/2 of the products it consumes, excluding oil and cars/trucks.
3) they own hundreds of billions in USA company stocks and securities
If you do not want to see your purchasing power, bank accounts & 401K savings, and million of jobs disappear - Be nice and sweet to China and when they same jump USA - you say how high Comrade !!

SecTres announced he would collatoralize any treasury debt they put on the market. It was the financial equivalent of the Duke of Wellington telling one of his mistresses to "publish and be damned."

How does Obama feel about NAFTA?
What has he said against the Pearl River Delta?
With the MSM in love with Barack Hussein Obama, it is very hard to get through the halo to what life under a Barry Presidency would actually be like. What if you could tap into The REAL Barack Obama Twitter feed that stripped away all the positioning and pandering? Well now you can. Check daily to receive the decoded spin and Hussein's actual wishes, desires and true hopes for this country.

I thought the Moderators here were asking commenters to tone down the whole "Hussein" thing...
I know this isn't quite on point, since this diary deals primarily with Obama, but here is Sen. McCain's latest press statement on China, the Games, and Pres. Bush:
"I understand and respect Prime Minister Brown's decision not to attend the Olympic opening ceremonies. I believe President Bush should evaluate his participation in the ceremonies surrounding the Olympics and, based on Chinese actions, decide whether it is appropriate to attend. If Chinese policies and practices do not change, I would not attend the opening ceremonies. It does no service to the Chinese government, and certainly no service to the people of China, for the United States and other democracies to pretend that the suppression of rights in China does not concern us. It does, will and must concern us."
One of Obama's problems is that has no real opinions of his own. He is a blank slate--which is why he would be so terrible as a president.
Anyone who has watched the previous Democratic debates would have noticed that Obama frequently parrots Clinton's responses to questions (SNL recently satirized this by having Obama respond to every question in the debate by saying, "I agree with Senator Clinton"). One of the main reasons why Obama is saying that he would immediately meet with dictators is because during a debate when Hillary, for once, didn't get the first question, Obama screwed up and said that he would meet with dictators immediately. Now that his ultra-liberal fan base is sold on the idea, he can't backtrack and just admit that he made a mistake during one of the debates, because he didn't know what he was talking about.
Anyway, at first, Obama said that he didn't want to boycott the opening Olympic ceremonies, in part, because of Chicago politics (so much for being a "new kind of politician"). However, now that Hillary Clinton and then John McCain have both stated that they think it's a good idea for President Bush to boycott the opening ceremonies, Obama, right on cue, chimes in saying that he agrees. Color me not at all surprised.
There is only one King of the Chinese kowtow-ers George Bush.
Oh wait, he didn't, and it was the Democrats who wanted to. My fault.

Yes, Bush's prudent - and victorious - handling of the spy plane incident was never acknowledged - and never will be.
....just to do this?
I do not consider it right to accuse Obama of something that our current GOP president has been worse at.
I do not like Obama, but at least Obama has been ballsy enough to criticize them in 2006 & 2007 and far more than:
We will cut our P3 in half if it makes you happy Bush!
At least, that's what I assume that last comment was composed in.
Barack has definite beliefs: they are anti-American and pro-socialism.
The only reason he gets into trouble is because he is constantly trying to figure out how to keep those views from the public until after he is elected.
Obama is Jimmy Carter- only without the sweater.
