Does the Jewish vote really matter all that much for the Illinois Democrat? The topic, perhaps surprisingly, carries no clear consensus among some academics and analysts.
So, let's go through the check list:
Working class whites? No.
Hispanic voters? No.
Jewish voters? No.
Effete collegiate liberals? Check!
Black voters? Check!
Well holy cow. I didn't realize Michael Dukakis was the Democratic nominee this year! [Ed.-- Don't forget Hamas]

You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.
It is obvious that the Obama campaign is sitting on the assumption that these voters will hate the notion of a so-called "Bush Third Term" that they will come groveling back to him in the general election.
I bet they are also assuming that 20% Bush approval ratings = 80% of people who would potentially vote Democrat, although that won't be true either.

If only the general election were a caucus.
