Special Election in Georgia's 10th CD
...and then there were ten

GA's 10th Congressional District is having a special election today to fill the late Republican Charlie Norwood's unexpired term. The Republicans frontrunners are State Senator Jim Whitehead from Augusta and (more distantly) Dr. Paul Broun, Jr. from Athens, both of whom reside within the district. The leading Democrat candidate is Jim Marlow, a filthy rich Yahoo! executive from Atlanta who seemed to come out of nowhere, and who is now claiming to have "grown up in northeast GA" (where the district is) so as to (hopefully) win the votes of those who might not know he lives far, far away and couldn't care less about anything about them but their votes.
In my opinion, Whitehead will win it, but it'll be interesting to see if he can get to the finish line without a runoff (there are 10 candidates altogether).
The latest inside information I received indicated that Democrat voters might be having trouble uniting behind a candidate, with white male Marlow possibly losing a significant number of votes to his African-American female opponents. We'll have to see if that's the case; if it is, then Jim Whitehead should win without breaking a sweat.

We do have a policy here that folks with a campaign disclose affiliation, and would appreciate it if you would do the same.
By the way, your campaign has been impressive in its own right -- snagging the support of both Alan Keyes and the RLC is no mean feat.
