MORNING UPDATE:
President Bush delivered his last State of the Union address. President Bush presented his strong resolve to keep America’s economy healthy, his initiatives that keep America competitive, cut wasteful spending, and expand education options.
Listen to what the Democrats had to say…how they responded…EVERYTHING they proposed cost taxpayer’s money…EVERYTHING was another “gimme” at your expense…and EVERYTHING was obviously wrong, just because President Bush said it.

President Bush is walking in, as I type, to deliver his last State of the Union address to Congress. History suggests this is often an opportunity for Presidents to establish or "hone" their legacy. That will not be the case tonight.
This President has been vilified routinely since Tom Daschle decided to spit on him in hopes of using bad choices and poor decisions to improve the Democrats' chances of making gains in the number of Democrats holding office in Congress. It worked, and the Republicans find themselves in the minority...and rightly so.
